Altar Guild

Responsible for preparation of the church for liturgical celebrations. Tasks include: the sacristans, candle and linen care, sewing, church cleaning, making banners and church decorating.

Altar Servers

Assists the Presider during Mass and special liturgies. Male and female, adult and youth are welcome. Training is provided.

Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Assists the Presider in distributing both the Body of Christ and Blood of Christ to the parish community. Training is provided.

Lectors

Proclaims the Word from Scripture at Sunday mass, daily mass, and for special liturgies. Training is provided.

Mass Co-ordinators

Responsible for all the tasks of preparing for the liturgical celebrations, including; opening the church, setting up for mass, and ensuring that all persons are available for their liturgical duties.

Ministers of Hospitality

The Minister of Hospitality is to present at all liturgical celebrations and stands at the entrance of the church to welcome the parishioners, assists with seating them and gathers the gifts of treasure to be offered during the celebration of the Eucharist. Training is provided.

Music Ministry 

Saint Benedict Parish is bursting in song with five ensembles; including choirs, a praise band, cantors, leaders of song, organists and other instrumentalists. Our music committee is committed to maintaining good quality and highly spiritual music to enhance the worship of all who gather in Saint Benedict Parish. We believe that music should come alive and lift the soul in prayerful song. We welcome new members and encourage anyone with a love of music to consider joining this vital parish ministry.
