Our Arise prayer

Father, trusting in you as we move forward in faith and hope, we the people of Saint Benedict Parish pray that Jesus Christ will continue to lead us in Spirit-filled worship & stewardship, guide us into loving service to you God, and our neighbour as a united faithful community.  

ARISE TOTAL is climbing with $1,473,397 received.

  ARISE REFLECTION

“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you” (Is. 60.1).

The Arise Campaign is an opportunity to foster renewal and re-vitalization in our parish; to reflect the glory       of the Lord – “the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will appear over you” (Is. 60.2).

We reflect God’s glory when we gather with our families, our neighbours, our brothers and sisters in Christ to worship and pray, to grow in discipleship and to give thanks for God’s many blessings. We reflect God’s glory when we nurture our faith through faith development programs and when we share our faith with our children and our peers. We reflect God’s glory also, when we reach out to those in need of hope, love and material support. Participate in the Arise Campaign as together we proclaim and become signs of the Kingdom of God!

A message from Father Bernard O’Neill was given out at the mass in June. Much work has been done since in readiness for the start of the campaign this fall.

Meetings were held September 29 and 30 to prepare for the campaign to begin in November. We are grateful to the many parishioners who have accepted leadership roles for the campaign. The 181 volunteers to date is a testimony to the faith of parishioners to come forward and make this campaign a success.
