Alpha provides an opportunity to meet others and chat about some of life’s big questions in an open and friendly environment. Alpha is for anyone and everyone. Weekly sessions typically include:
an intriguing talk (often on video, but not always)
small group discussion
People enjoy great food, laughter and learning in a fun and non-threatening atmosphere where no question about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile...questions like:
Is there a God?
Why am I here?
Where am I going?
We value relationships! Connect Groups meet every other week in homes across our region and are a great way to build relationships, grow closer to Christ and get connected. Think Christian house party.

We encourage all our members to continue to grow as disciples of Jesus. Discipleship Groups are small groups of 4-12 people who gather in homes for a certain number of weeks to focus on learning content. Discipleship Groups meet year round @SaintBP and we usually have a parish-wide Discipleship Group initiative during Lent.
We have a variety of ministries serving children and young families at Saint Benedict Parish.
WOW (Wee Ones' Word) welcomes infants and pre-schoolers every Sunday morning during the 9am Mass.
SHINE (Seeking Him in Everything) is the Sunday morning program for kids in elementary school (primary to grade 5) and it takes place every Sunday morning during the 9am and 11:15am morning Masses.
The Encounter is a program launched in September, 2017 for kids in grades 5 and 6. It was on hold last season, but is coming back in September 2019. It's a junior youth group helping to bridge the gap between SHINE and The Rise (our youth group).
For more information on these programs, please contact Laura O'Rourke.
The Rise (grades 7-12)
Youth are gathering for a few different activities over the summer months with The Rise (youth nights) kicking off on Thursday, September 19th, 2019. For information on youth ministry at Saint Benedict Parish, please contact Corey Robinson.
