Using the metaphor of a tapestry, we will use some current Catholic scholarship to look behind Luke's Gospel, to see how he wove his narrative together. As Christians, we are in the business of weaving together the threads of our lives, under the tutelage of the Holy Spirit, to produce something beautiful for God. Luke's Gospel can provide us with a tutorial as to how that can be done. In this Discipleship Group, we will also contrast Luke's approach with some of the current "secular" evangelistic outreaches which attempt to pressure us into stitching together our lives, under the taskmaster of political correctness.
