For Kids

"Our primary goal with SBP Kids is to move what we do with children from the genre of catechesis to that of evangelization. Everything begins with evangelization. We desire to see our young people encounter Jesus and come into a relationship with Him. Our secondary goal is to make it easier for young families to bring their children to church. We want to provide age-appropriate experiences for children while giving young parents the opportunity to be fully present at Mass, which we believe is good for the whole family." - Fr. James Mallon

WOW - Wee Ones' Word (birth to age four)

For infants and pre-schoolers we have WOW. This ministry happens every Sunday morning during the 9am Mass. This is more than childcare, it provides an opportunity for children to begin to understand a real, personal faith in a safe, fun, and friendly environment. As a bonus, by sending children to WOW, parents can feel the freedom of worshiping and praying through the Mass without chasing or shushing small, curious children.

Parents, grandparents, guardians can drop children off at SBP Kids Check-in before the beginning of 9am Mass. It runs for the full length of Mass. If you have children who aren’t old enough yet for elementary school, we encourage you to register here and bring your kids any Sunday morning.

SHINE - Seeking Him IN Everything (primary to grade 5)

SHINE is our Sunday morning program for kids in elementary school. SHINE runs every Sunday morning during both Sunday morning Masses (9am and 11:15am). SHINE's vision is to help the children who attend Saint Benedict Parish fall in love with Jesus, each other, and His Church. Things are fun, high energy and focussed on Christ.

Children preparing for their First Communion, or who are already receiving the Eucharist, or those whose parents desire them to be present, will return to the Church at the offertory. The other children will continue in the hall with age-appropriate experiences of teaching and prayer.

Parents (or guardians) are invited to register here and then drop kids off at the SBP Kids Check-in any Sunday morning.
